šŸ¤– Could AI Bring About A 4-day Workweek Or A Pink Slip?

AI takes a lot of heat for ushering in the forthcoming robot revolution where AI will take over and enslave the human race.

While we aren’t quite there (yet), some experts do think that AI could make the 4-day work week a reality, but at what cost?

I personally know a lot of people who currently work 4-days a week, by usually doing (4) 10-hour days. In the Summer I often take Friday’s off, but even then as an entrepreneur I’m still working 60+ hours spreadout over the week which comes out to around 10 hours a day.

With advancements in AI we’ve seen massive increases in productivity across the board in many industries. This has led some experts to theorize that this increased efficiency could mean employees could manage to squeeze a normal work week into just 4-days.

I’m not sold on that.

I think it’s more likely that managers will instead go the opposite direction and decide they can get just as much work done with fewer people, thus leading to job loss at the expense of saving money for the business.

We’re seeing the same flawed logic play out with Elon Musk’s newly formed DOGE, and the effects it is starting to have on increased unemployment in Washington D.C..

I believe AI will continue to empower entrepreneurs, enabling them to accomplish more work, effectively doubling their capacity.Ā  As a result, they will become more efficient and be able to scale their businesses in the crucial early stages.

Many solo entrepreneurs, including myself, often wear multiple hats and jobs including bring the CEO, product manager, handling sales, raising funding, doing support, running accounting, and the list goes on and on.

If AI can help entrepreneurs to take even a few of these tasks off their plate to free them up even just a little then they’ll see an exponential boost in productivity that could mean the difference between success and failure in the startup game.

šŸš€Ā Business

Elon Musk’s SpaceX team is visiting the FAA to ā€œsuggestā€ improvements. I’m guessing that’ll be more like a one sided conversation, but to speak the truth the FAA has been holding back the aviation and space industries in the U.S. by not upgrading to and keeping pace with innovation. Just look at the long review process the FAA requires between space launches.

Maybe this is one area DOGE can make improvements in the government that actually help society to move forward.

šŸŽ¤Ā Entertainment

Sabrina Carpenter just did a duet with Dolly Parton singing her hit song ā€˜Please Please Please’ and it was a smash, but if you think you can get Dolly Parton to sing naughty words you better think twice. At one point in Sabrina Carpenter’s original version of ā€˜Please Please Please’ she sings ā€œmother***er, which Dolly Parton instead switched it to ā€œlike the othersā€ saying to Sabrina Carpenter ā€œYou and your dirty words, I can’t say them words for my kids!ā€ Dolly Parton is a national treasure people!

šŸ¤–Ā Tech

It seems like everyone’s investing in robots these days. Google just joined a $350 million dollarĀ  funding round for Apptronik which is making a humanoid robot. This comes on the heels of Meta spinning up their own Reality Labs division to develop humanoid robots, while Apple is also exploring the development of humanoid robots. Add together robots and AI, and what could possibly go wrong?!?!

🌓 Social Media

If you’re not popular on social media anymore then build your own platform, they always say. That’s just what BuzzFeed is doing with the launch of their new social media platform called BF Island. Apparently they spent their entire budget on development instead of branding to come up with a good name.

šŸĀ Sports

For the first time in its 96 year history, the Monaco Grand Prix will have a title sponsor with TAG Heuer taking a title sponsorship role. Details of the deal haven’t been released, but the rumor is they’ll be spending around $150 million per year to sponsor the race.

This comes hot on the heels of LVMH signing a 10-year deal with Formula 1 to have their watch brand Tag Heuer be the official timekeeper of the F1 series starting in 2025.
