Robert Downey Jr. has answered for the last time the question Will he or won’t he return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Tony Stark/Iron Man.

The news that Robert Downey Jr. will not be resuming his role as Tony Stark in any future Marvel movies was revealed by none other than Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios and master of all things Marvel-related. He has said there are no plans to resurrect the character of Tony Stark after his last appearance in the 2019 movie “Avengers: Endgame.”

Marvel fans are shedding a tear right now at that news I’m sure, myself included, but it shouldn’t really be a surprise. Like all good things, Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark and Iron Man characters had a great run, racking up a total of $4,401,889,200 billion at the box office over a span of 9 movies including Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming which may-or-may not be in the correct order of appearance, but I digress.

Ultimately all good things come to an end, and now Tony Stark’s Iron Man has now officially ended his time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That is until they bring him back, because this is Marvel we’re talking about, and no one is ever really dead – well except Gamora, and Black Panther, and Black Widow, so actually yea some characters really can’t come back. My bad.

Robert Downey Jr. won’t be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Tony Stark
