You go girl! In what everyone can agree is about time, the National Women’s Soccer League announced a huge media deal that is worth $240 million dollars over 4-years for a media distribution deal with CBS Sports, ESPN, Amazon Prime Video, and Scripps Sports to begin in 2024. This represents a 40-fold increase in the size of their deal compared to their previous media distribution contract.

Women’s soccer in the U.S. is having a moment, with the women’s national team and then men’s national team signing a contract to pool their FIFA prize money, according to an article on ESPN.

“Last year, U.S. Soccer, the women’s national team and the men’s national team came together for a historic and first-of-its-kind deal: The two teams would pool their FIFA prize money together and then split it equally among both teams. Although FIFA prize money is still unequal, the teams have chosen to split it equally.”
